I don’t care if it’s in between holiday concerts, crazy work hours, open houses, or gift shopping. Find something you love to do, and do it! Maybe you grab a spin class or go walking. Maybe you do a few downward dogs before finishing up the errands. Go for a run or do Pilates before taking care of everyone else. Exercising helps to reset the body, burn calories, ease stress, and help you focus. Plus, it’s just fun and pretty darn joyful. And honestly, isn’t that what the holidays are about anyway? Read More
Everyone knows the old Welsh proverb that goes “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. What many people may not realize is that there is a surprising amount of truth in these wise words. Along with the banana, apples are one of the most commonly eaten fruits in the world. Studies show that they can potentially be amazing for your skin as well as offering anti-viral and anti-cancer properties.
As Nourish Your Soul expands its reach and grows its community in Boston, we got to thinking about our mission as we take those steps forward. Our philosophy hasn’t changed since we first opened, but it seems like a great time to explain more of it, explain more about why we believe it, and share it with you.
Our Soul Series continues, spotlighting some of the vital and influential local voices in our community helping us connect our physical movement with inner strength.
In this post we focus on Molly Powers, who works as a medium, a Reiki Master, and also as a yoga instructor in her business, Powers of Healing. We sat down with her to find out more.
Welcome to our Fall Soul Series. In it we’ll be spotlighting some of the vital and influential local voices in our community that help us connect our physical movement with inner strength.
First up is Jacqui Bonwell. Her list of credentials goes on and on: she’s a certified yoga teacher and Reiki master, a yoga life coach, director of the Sacred Seeds Yoga School, and owner of the Canton Yoga Shala. She trains other yoga teachers through her own certification programs. Armed with a B.A. in psychology and sociology from the University of Rhode Island, she also provides life coaching to help yoga students deepen their practice and apply the teachings to their everyday lives.
All that said, what’s the training she considers most important to her life? Motherhood. Here’s a little more about her.
Our new breakfast items will set the tone for your whole day. Eating a satisfying, delicious, nutrient-packed breakfast is a powerful tool in maintaining a healthy weight, and to remind yourself that you’re a person who values healthy choices. When you make the right choices, you keep your metabolism cranking, your mental clarity and energy levels high, and you set your entire day on the right track.
I also recommend starting with a green juice to kick off your day. So add it to any of our brand new breakfast items offered at our location at Healthworks in Back Bay, including the following two. Both are bolstered in nutritional value since they contain our almond milk which is loaded with protein, antioxidants, plus vitamins such as E and B complex, and minerals such as manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and fiber.
Our third location is officially here! We opened our doors today upstairs at Healthworks Back Bay (441 Stuart Street) in Copley Square, Boston. The location is completely open to the public, so you don’t have to be a Healthworks member to come by.
To hep us celebrate, please swing by tonight from 5-7 p.m. meet me and my wonderful team, sample some of our new offerings, and enter to win great prizes… including a one-day cleanse and fitness passes.
Here’s to new beginnings. I hope to see you tonight–and plenty more times after that in our new space!
Nourish Your Soul has always been about fresh starts, and so I couldn’t be more excited to announce one of our own: a third location upstairs at Healthworks Back Bay, at 441 Stuart Street, in Copley Square, Boston! The location will be completely open to the public, so you don’t have to be a Healthworks member to come by.
