Learning to Let Go

My life has been transformed on so many levels, and one of the most transformational has been yoga. When you see the kind of change that can happen with it in your own life, you can’t help but want to share it with other people.

It’s hard to explain, but I’ll try. Along with eating well (which helps you have a clear, focused mind), yoga opens you up to unlimited mental possibilities. Practicing it opens your heart. It’s given me the faith to know that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. And most importantly, to learn how to let go. There’s so much that we hold onto in life. Yoga helps to release this and helps heal your soul and body.

Yoga also connects you to your breathing, and staying in the moment. I know that if you can take that with you as you leave your mat, life is easier. You can move through your day with grace and peace. My goal as a teacher is to help people discover this gift and find joy in each moment. When things come up to challenge us finding our breath, then staying centered can help us move through the issue (whatever that issue might be) with much more clarity.

I can’t tell you how much that’s done for me. Connecting breath to movement. What that means in the moment. And also how that transcends to the outside world, for all of us.
