Changing ourselves can be an incredibly hard thing—especially if we’ve faced (or are facing) a big life challenge that has us feeling scared and/or stuck.
To me, cleansing has come to be synonymous with starting over—nutritionally and physically, sure, but also mentally and philosophically, too.
I know how powerful it can be to start over. Years ago I went through a tragedy myself, and eventually, after a long period of intense sadness and feelings of helplessness, I started changing my habits.
When I started to make shifts, at first slowly and then with a greater awareness, life got its momentum back. I felt alive for the first time in a very long time. This wasn’t about a diet; it was about making changes to my lifestyle, and about taking care of myself so I could also take care of my friends and family. Awareness of the foods I eat and the effect they have on my body, mind, and spirit has been instrumental in my growing happiness.
And so I started Nourish Your Soul, hoping to help other people find the same happiness. My next step in that hope is a guide to cleansing and eating healthier, to support even more people in transforming their bodies, hearts, and minds.
The guide is about taking time to nourish your beautiful self and know that each day gives you an opportunity for a fresh start.
I hope you read it, enjoy it, and find in it whatever it is you need—big or small—to affect a happy life change.
